Date: 09/23/2025 Tuesday
Start Time: 10:00
End time: 2:00 PM
Difficulty level: Easy
Meeting point and finish point: Mirador de Las Tederas, Santa Lucía de Tirajana (temporarily closed, 150m further on) https://maps.app.goo.gl/9qsvMUHzXnr3aMV86

We'll meet at the Las Tederas Viewpoint in Santa Lucia de Tirajana. We'll begin the route by hiking through old farmland until we reach a rock face where we can try climbing. There are several grade V routes, suitable for beginners. We'll continue our journey via a via ferrata, which is a highly technical hike, but easier than climbing. We'll climb the rocks with the help of metal steps on the most difficult sections and even cross a small suspension bridge. This route even delves into the heart of the mountain, as we'll get an introduction to caving in the Cueva de La Luna (Moon Cave): a volcanic tube with several chambers that must be accessed via a narrow, crawling passageway to then discover its large vault. Finally, we'll head to an ancient volcanic cone that emerges in the middle of the farmland to launch ourselves from its summit on a 50-meter zip line and finish the route with a rush of adrenaline.
And all this is always surrounded by an emblematic Canarian landscape: the great Caldera de Tirajana, with views of Pico de las Nieves (the highest point on the island), Risco Blanco, Pilancones, Amurga, and the picturesque villages of Santa Lucía de Tirajana and Tunte. Furthermore, this area still holds great historical secrets, as this was the last stronghold of resistance for the ancient Canarians. The activity can be complemented with a visit to the La Fortaleza Museum, where you can learn more about the history of the Canary Islands.
